We hear more and more about how the Church is growing across the world, in so many nations. Indeed some of the fastest growth is in the places where you might least expect it, like Iran. But what does that mean for the church in Bury?

As I visited different parts of the church in Bury on pilgrimage, I have gradually discovered that we are blessed to have brothers and sisters from many nations as part of the church in Bury.
From initially encountering those going to Moldova or arriving from the Netherlands (via Chester-le-Street) at the Salvation Army, to the different blessings that come from Nigeria or Hong Kong, to others who may be the only person from their nation, our church in Bury is enriched.
We are hearing about the movement of people around the world most days, but, in amongst all that noise, may we see what God might be doing. And, so my hope and prayer is that not only would those who are now part of us find a welcome, but that we would learn and receive from them.
The church in Bury…..a church of all the nations.
